DIY WATER MARBLE MUG

BY: CHARIZA PAULINE BERBER

MATERIALS NEEDED:
  • CERAMIC MUG
  • NAIL POLISH
  • A LARGE CONTAINER OR BASIN
  • TOOTH PICK
  • WARM WATER
  • NAIL POLISH REMOVER AND COTTON (optional)

PROCEDURE:
  1. Fill the basin with warm water. Make sure that the basin is deep enough to fit the mug.
  2. Pour nail polish onto the surface of the water. Make sure the water is warm so that the nail polish will spread evenly.
  3. Using the toothpick, swirl the nail polish to spread the nail polish to cover most of the water which also create the marble effect.
  4. Quickly dip the mug into the water because the nail polish on the water dries quickly. Make sure to avoid putting nail polish where the mouth of the mug goes.
  5. Let the mug stay on the basin for a few seconds. Take the mug out of the basin and turn over the mug to the dry the nail polish.
  6. Once the nail polish is dry, clean out the bottom of the mug and areas where you don’t want any nail polish on using a nail polish remover.
